Rae received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Illinois in 1987 and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 1990. She has extensive experience treating adults and children ages 3-12. Rae was a staff therapist and clinical supervisor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Chicago Hospitals from 1988 to 1998, where she provided therapy to children, adults, couples and families. In 1999, she established a full-time private practice, focusing on the treatment of individual adults, couples and children. After being introduced to the work of Dr. Harville Hendrix, founder of Imago Relationship Therapy, Rae sought to augment her skills in working with couples by undergoing intensive training to become a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist.
