James Michehl has been serving the public for over 30 years. From his early days as a paid-on call firefighter/paramedic to his resent experiences with the Deerfield Police Department/Youth & Social Services Division, James has always put the care of others first and foremost.

James earned his B.A. in Computing and his Masters in Education in Human Services/Community Counseling from DePaul University and completed his training in Marriage and Conflict Mediation from DePaul University.

James’ dedication to the public and his passion to help people heal during and after a crisis makes him the ideal mediator. He understands stressful situations and has the skills to help individuals cope while teaching them techniques to deal with the pressures involved during these troubling times. “Mediation is more than the division of assets; it’s about learning who we are as adults and parents and surviving the process of divorce to become whole again”.
