Ellen Barron Feldman is a graduate of Smith College, located in Northampton, Massachusetts , majoring in government. Ellen earned degree in law from Indiana University School of Law in 1981. Then for 15 years, Ellen worked in the field of commercial litigation in the Chicago area. Along with trying cases, arguing motions and making other appearances before Illinois State and Federal courts, Ellen Barron Feldman served as a volunteer in her local community and schools. Ellen also was a member of executive boards and a School Advisory Council at several Wilmette area schools. There she assisted in decision making along with the other school board member, administrators, and teachers.
About 6 years ago, Ellen started volunteering for The Lilac Tree based in Evanston, Illinois.This organization is a nonprofit organization that helps women who are going through the divorce process. Ellen also completed the Family and Divorce Mediation Training offered through DePaul University Center for Conflict Resolution in May, 2005 in addition to the Advanced Family Mediation in June, 2005. Ellen Barron Feldman serves as an appointed member of the 19th Judicial Circuit Family Mediation Program list of court-approved mediators for Lake County, Illinois. Ellen is also an active member of the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake Count Chicago and the Lake County Bar Associations.
